How do I withdraw my 401k from a company that I no longer work for and do not meet the IRS hardship requirements? I am 32 yrs old and currently employed with another company. The company I worked for 3-4 yrs ago still has $17,000 401k for me. I'd like to withdraw this money for purchasing a home. How or can I do that?
